No, it always seemed like a terrible job to me. Fortunately, I never had to work at a fast food place.

Yeah, but it was Panera Bread so it wasn't THAT bad of an experience. Worked there during most of the time I was in grad school getting my Masters.

if i was starting my early career over i'd do it if i had no other choice, but really the better bargain is to take out public student loans, major in something profitable, and get the money waived after 10 years of full-time government work

worked mcdonalds in my senior year of high school and part of my freshman year of college.

peak hours aside, it was pretty chill; most of my coworkers and management were pretty easygoing and i briefly dated a couple of the women i worked with. customers were also alright for the most part, though the lunch commuters were sometimes obnoxious, and sometimes things got hectic while we were understaffed, pissing off customers. pretty clean and reasonably high standards, being located in a rather well-to-do area.

stopped working there during breaks because my brother got hired riding on my coattails and absolutely obliterated the reputation of my family name with his conduct while i was away, which in conjunction with the financial constraints of the recession resulted in not being re-hired.

Its an extremely common entry level job. Youve got to start somewhere and not everyone has connections.

With exponential population growth and a shrinking job market, more and more able-bodied and able-minded people are being forced back into retail and food now.
