MK11 is probably the first fighter Ive really gotten into. for me it was seeing how bad ass Sonya is lol. Im decent at it, and I watch a shit ton of videos online for it, so I feel like Im getting slightly better every time I play. Im no Sonicfox but Im deff not garbo either

I love fighting games, I would say characters and presentation probably

Tekken 7 revitalized the series after TTT2 nearly killed it and Bamco is trying to ride it into the dirt

I think MVCI disappointed many when there was no X-men characters (I think that was Disney meddling personally)

I honestly do think characters and presentation is the most important part of getting people to play these games. I know there is a crowd that says "as long as the gameplay is great" but we've seen multiple examples like MvCi,Skullgirls, and Them fighting herds where people don't want to play the game because of its presentation.

TFH has a lot of what people want in a fighting game. Good netcode great lobbies but some dont like its aesthetic

Have to agree with characters and presentation. I still play marvel versus Capcom 2, but I really have no interested in getting into infinite.

How was T7 better?

Way less modes and characters and tons of dlc

I like it but its so stingy compared to ttt2

Simpler controls. Soul Calibur has the right spot of most moves being one direction and 1-2 buttons.

Fighting games should be contests of skill, strategy, and mid-battle adaptation, not a measure of who spent the most dozens of hours in training mode practicing the same bread-and-butter combos over and over for pure muscle memory.

If I knew and was close to people who were seriously into traditional fighting games I'd be interested in them myself.

The whole reason I moved on from casual Smash to competitive Smash years ago is because I made friends with people who played the games competitively.

Common misconception. Once you're at a competent level, execution is second nature. The controls are (mostly) like that just because the variety of actions and balance typically demands it.

Nothing, tbh. They're just boring in general. I don't mind playing them every now and then, but they get old fast for me.

Being asked if I want to. We have a Street Fighter II arcade cabinet in our basement (along with a 4-player TMNT cabinet and an NBA Jam cabinet), so we play it fairly regularly.

Tight controls, 60fps, graphics that makes it feel good to land attacks and combos, and good (roll back) online netcode. That's all I need really. I've been playing a lot of great indie fighting games because japanese fighting games netcodes are trash.

Where did I say it was better? I said it revitalized the series which it did. Harada said TTT2 almost killed the series

Aren't they for the most part? Seems most fighting games are bating and punishing mistakes
