Unless he was being dumb, they definitely weren't giving him as much money as he could have gotten from liquidating everything though.

So an artist i know for their huge anime titty art apparently worked on this company too and they also left (EU03 is their name), only reason why i heard about this, and the more i read the more i wonder if the employees can't just leave and remake another company and leave this fuckwad to sink on his own, but i guess there's a lot of legally binding contracts and shit making a lot of them unable to leave?

The biggest issue with them leaving is that they would need to have their own vision for what they want to accomplish. Them making a new company because they don't like their old boss isn't going to hold weight and keep the crew together. They can only be mad together at MikeZ for so long. Coming up with a new idea is a very difficult task and ordeal as opposed to refining one. I'd be very surprised and impressed and would happily eat crow if they do end up forming a company and releasing a successful product after leaving. But I'd put money down on the majority getting jobs at other development studios.

Chris G literally got cut from his sponsor over that FB post earlier this year despite them telling him at the time they wouldn't. It already got dragged back up and he was punished for it this year, so not sure what people expect to happen next.
