Austin_Era_II 08/24/20 10:17:36 AM #2:	Boy bands took over and hip hop got fancy about wanting a bunch of luxury crap. Late 90s MJ was declining. Blood on the Dance Floor I don't think did that well. Even depressing, cynical music was either done to be ironic (ie this is what I feel like, but I know this is temporary and self-pitying, so I'll just be self-deprecating) or had a glimmer of hope in them (ie we're in this together, this is personal growth, it will get better).
