  • Where are the folders for everything?
  • How do I record my screen?
  • Is there a way to set what part of it is being recored?
  • I was using. . .not FRAPs [I've used this as well], but another one. . .OBS! But then it kind of stopped working how I wanted it to. I couldn't record my full screen, only like 20% of it. That's when someone told me to use ShareX

I want to record game play to put up on YouTube or stream in Twitch, but I also want to make pro wrestling .gifs

Do you have an Nvidia GPU? If so, just use its built-in recording feature. Make sure GeForce Experience is installed, then hit Alt + Z to bring up the menu.

And OBS can be a pain to use, but it DOES work. Which version are you using? I use OBS Studio, personally.

@pokedude900

Yeah, it's Studio. It only records like this much of the screen [the green part]

Er...OBS is free. You got ripped off if you paid for it. It literally stands for Open Broadcaster Software.

Anyway, I often have that same problem, and feels like I have to do something different to fix it each time. There are a couple things to check. First, are you recording a window, or the whole screen? Second, what is the Input resolution for the video source that you set? If you're recording the screen, it should match your screen's resolution (if you don't know this, it's usually 1920x1080 unless you're on an older machine). And third, I have to fight with the program every time to access this, but there should be a way to manually adjust the size of a box that covers the display area. Stretch that to fill the portion of the screen you want to record.

Maybe I didn't. The file says I got it back in 2017, so I could just be wrong, lol

Anyways, I'm trying to record my full screen right now, but only because that's the only way I know how to record what I want to record - short clips from pro wrestling to make into .gifs

I've done it before -

[I guess those .gifs don't work here, which is another level of bull shit]

This is what I'm seeing right now when I try to record my entire screen -
