Imagine someone playing this game while firmly believing that the uploaded consciousness are just computer simulations and not people. And then occasionally getting mad when the game expects you to care about them.

Dehumanizing a copied consciousness would make it easier to ignore the game's message. Honestly, I feel the acting does kind of help sell the concept.

He's gonna have a fun time, though, when he's asked to basically kill the last living human.
