taking a paycut from 1 million dollars. Except he's a majority share holder, he paid himself the 1 million dollars against the votes of the other share holders, then he took a "paycut" to pay all his employees 70,000.
Well, not really.
His company paid his employees 35k on average in 2013, he agreed to give the ones who worked in the Boise office 70k by the year 2023, so that's 7 years working at the company to make 70,000k, for those employees in that office only.
Even now the a majority of his employees make far less than 70k, you can check on glassdoor for interviews/job offers from this year.

A lot of CEOs don't even make a salary. Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Bloomberg and so on all have 1 dollar salaries.

it's a form of tax evasion. Income tax has a really high tax rate, if you can avoid income to bolster stock value then you make more money and evade taxes.

Are people morons? At Facebook the base pay is higher and Zuckerberg makes 69,999 dollars less than Dan Price in income yet Mark doesn't get free marketing for being a hero to the working man.

Are people really this dumb? He even set his own salary in the first place, his brother was the majority share holder at the start of the company then he bought his brothers shares early on to become the majority share leader then forced his brother out of his own company.

I see communists online complain about Bezos that he doesn't produce anything blah blah, but this guy is literally the CEO of a credit card processing company, they skim the top off of credit card transactions. He is their CEO, how does he produce more than Jeff Bezos?
