What are your thoughts on high-risk portfolio from a major bank? Then by 60 switch it to low risk.

higher-risk portfolios better while younger, lower-risk while older/retired. pretty solid strategy.

Most of my previous co-workers did that and by retirement had like $200-400K but that was with the company matching like 4%. Once my youngest son is done daycare next year I'll start a RRSP again.

Yeah but the latter doesn't provide the thrill of a potential massive payout leading to instant early retirement. It's like the lottery but with better odds.
