But yes cats in particular have the unfortunate compulsion to run out in front /under of vehicles. For something that's supposed to be very good spacially they completely lack the concept of speeding objects. I've seen other animals like dogs and even chickens get caught in traffic and realise it, and try to haul themselves out of danger. Some unsuccessful but still. They normally go to the front porch and sit there until I figure out they are out there. But they also like to go to both my neighbors yard because they have dogs. One they like to bark at, but the other one is their friend that they miss.
