Play the Sky trilogy, then the Crossbell duology which is peak Trails.

Have you played any of the other games it's related to like Trails in the Sky trilogy or Azure games? I stopped after Cold Steel II because of that, and I'm burned out on JRPG's <_<

No. But the thing is I'm so connected to the current characters that I dunno if I'm playing the series for that or for the games themselves. That's my conundrum

You presumably have an Internet connection but have no pc or laptop?

That's a thing people do now? I don't like this world

Like, at all? How are you planning on playing Sky? Cause the Crossbell games aren't particularly demanding, and the most recent fan patches put the official re-realease to shame.

As much as the fan base hates the idea, I honestly would recommend playing Cold Steel 3 in your situation.

Like you, I started with CS1 & 2, and was purely invested in those characters and their storyline. While it's true CS3 brings up things that happened in the previous arcs, its still very enjoyable on it's own. What's more, it actually left me genuinely interested in the older games in the series, in a way fanboys shouting "play it this way or else!" simply couldn't.

Yeah that's my issue. I don't know if I like the series because of the characters and story of CS or if I just would like the entire thing

May have to just get both I dunno

To add onto my earlier post: I'd at least recommend trying Trails in the Sky first to see if it clicks with you. The series really is best experienced in chronological order. I just understand that not everyone wants to play so many games purely out of obligation.

And for the Crossbell games, if you're really desperate you can do what I did and use a psp emulator and patched isos on your phone.

I've seen gameplay of it and it looks like a more old school version of what I've been playing and that seems great. But at the same time I just wanna see Rean get him some Instructor Sara ya know what I mean

And i have no idea how to do that on my phone lol. Falcom seems pretty good about releasing older games so I don't think it would be out of the realm of possibility that they would localize and release the xbell ones
