They came in the mail today. Don't know what to do with the second one.

You can get a refurbished 2DS for 49.99 (before taxes and shipping)

I like that model, my fingers cramp less on them.

You could hack one, use it for homebrew, emulation or whatever else the 3DS systems can offer. I admit I wouldn't mind getting another 2DS and hacking it. Though I'd probably use it to play a couple of games that didn't see a NZ or UK release.

precisely! i was thinking it of using it as a recovery device for the other systems. But yeah there is a lot of upside potential with the homebrew in the 3DS scene.

This, too, rings a bell, much like a trick-or-treater at a stranger's doorstop on some Halloween night.

2DS is awesome. But when he mentions the shape, he is meaning as opposed to the n2DS clamshell design. Which is a damn shame, I would have loved a n2DS in the original shape, maybe they could have spared the space for a second analog pad, not that bloody nub. An 2DS XL version in that shape would be even better. Even if it would never fit in a pocket. :P

Got one, dislike it for a few reasons. The major one for me is body size. The 2DS body you hold is actually larger, which helps reduce cramping in my bad hand. Not as bad as the DSLite I own or the smaller 3DS model, but still can't play the XL nearly as long as my 2DS.

Hope this helps explain what I mean.

My hand is more open with the 2DS, so it doesn't cramp as fast. I find with the clamshell models, the fingers I'm using for shoulders aren't in a position that remains comfortable. Bigger shoulder buttons also help there.
