Just considering those, I'd say Suikoden beats FF so hard, FF had to call the cops to report an attempted murder. Overall? Well, there were a lot of good PS1 JRPGs. So many so that FF actually ranks pretty close to the middle of the pack in terms of mediocrity. People just tend to fellate FFVII as the bestest RPG evar because, for a lot of the Western audience, it was basically their first RPG.
