Season 3 was not good. Really wish they included Elektra and Punisher over boring, played out Wilson Fisk. And the show needs The Hand to be interesting.

As mentioned, Jessica Jones is great for the first season, mostly because its villain carries it. I liked the second season, but most people did not. Never watched S3 (did it have one even?).

Luke Cage is probably the most consistent one, but it's never really as good as parts of Daredevil.

Iron Fist's first season is terrible, but I hear it improved in S2.

Defenders was a disappointment.

My beef with DD is that it's really stereotypical of the gangs, pretty much to the point of bigotry. The Russian brothers have an exaggerated accent, the Irish gang (for the two minutes of screentime they had) were every single Irish hooligan fused into one stereotype. It's also pretty racist with Gao and Nobu having less depth as characters and every foot solider of the Hand being Asian ninjas. There are some token characters put in like the ethnic rainbow lead by Alexandria and Colleen fighting with Iron Fist but it's difficult to suspend the disbelief.

JJ is a fun show but the overt feminism is sometimes a little too in your face. Everything about JJ and Killgrave is an allegory for an abusive relationship and that's fine to have it written that way but JJ's attitude is almost strawman. She's a "strong" woman but, like I said, it's as subtle as an atom bomb. People say it's a smart show but it's just sort of fast pace. JJ's job revolves around finding out how shitty people are because she expects no better in people. That part of her character is fine to me but it's Flanderized.

All of the Marvel shows have every day people acting like agents from The Matrix. They're all either scumbags or secret ninjas in disguise. JJ and others can just talk or punch their way out of any "normal" problem but they can't go to any hospital or cop because someone's gonna turn into an agent/ninja. The dialogue is also a bit pseudo-intelligent and obnoxious at times. The minor characters like nurse Temple and Hogarth keep coming in contact with the same, few people which is virtually impossible by chance but this is a common trope in fiction.

Man Iron First S1 is so damn bad. Bad writing, bad acting, bad action, bad special effects.

Luke Cage S1 starts promising then very suddenly heads straight for the toilet.

Punisher S1 is alright. It's not great, but it's fairly entertaining and is not as bad as the worst of the Marvel shows.

Didn't watch Defenders because the first scene had Iron Fist so I immediately turned it off and decided I was done with Marvel Netflix.

Edit: Iron Fist was so bad it made me completely lose faith in these shows.

I remember him being okay in Defenders. I want to say the other people treated him like an idiot which was kind of cathartic.

He also shows up in Luke Cage's second season. He's much, much better there.

It did, and it's...not bad. The villain is more annoying than compelling, but that's okay because it serves the season's arc better. It's somebody you really, really want to see something terrible happen to.
