Stockton University in NJ has dropped code of conduct charges against a "student" after he "taunted" peers by using a picture of Trump as his Zoom background and posted an inflammatory post saying he would FIGHT TO THE DEATH FOR OUR COUNTRY!!

They backed off on 5 out of 6 student code of conducts against the old doctoral student, Robert Dailyda but continued to pursue disruptive behaviour charge against him

He was originally charged with disruptive behaviour, discrimination, harassment, hostile environment, harmand bullying and cyberbullying and faced possibly suspension for violent, racist and intolerant behaviour

It started when he used a photo of Trump as his Zoom background picture in class according to the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education and First Amendemtn group representing him

The conversation got heated when Dailyda started praising trump to the "leftist" students and then eventually left the zoom chat

He then posted on fb "I'm done with the leftist agenda of BLM and the white self haters. I will fight ot the death for our country and against those who that want to take us down. I have gotten to the point that i have to say something. I love this country. We are diverse, yet assimilated population from all backgrounds. I believe all must have the same opportunities and i commit to makethat a priority.Beyond that, i am done with the leftist agenda of BLM and the white self haters. I have seen it in action in my doctoral classes at Stockton and the general media. I'm not backing down. If we can't get past this, ok, i'm ready to fight to the death for our country and against those that want to take it down. I believe there are also many like me who are not white self haters"

He was contacted by campus police for his threatening post but Dailyda said he was just angry with Stockton's support for BLM which he does not support and says All Lives Matter and that Black People aren't the only ones in "oppression". He claims what happens to most black people that are killed are of their OWN actions, not of the ones that killed them..

He is now suing for violation of his first amendment rights as Stockton University confirmed to Dailymail that the student was being disciplined but has not taken action as of yet

So basically guy goes into zoom call with an obvious and blatant attempt to disrupt the online class. Seems fair to get some sort of disciplinary action, actions have consequences.

Also the age part of this thread is stupid college students are (largely) all legal adults.
