Fun fact: that's actually middle English. Old English is so different that you can't even really read it.

they speak Olde English or whatever you call it, in the beginning of the first episode I think of the show "The Vikings". some monks at a monastery are talking in it. and it gave subtitles. but I was really bummed when by like the end of the scene or in the scene after it, they switch to just normal modern english. I really wish they just spoke Olde English with subs through the whole show (except when the vikings are talking of course. but like I mean the English characters)

I guess they just wanted to show off a little, but not enough to commit fully to it for the entire series
