It's a shame that the coolest biomes in the game are also the most dangerous. I'm talking specifically about Slumbering Sanctuary and Cavern. Been trying to get through 3BC for some time, and Slumbering Sanctuary has always been an issue for me. But it's such a fucking cool concept, along with its great music and visuals.

Also the new 8-bit soundtrack is neat.

Absolutely. It comes with some cool weapons and skills. The two new biomes are nice as well.

Survive. I beat the game in like 40 minutes last I had it

I've gotten to the hand of the king twice but both times I didn't have a heavy hitter so I feel like that's what's keeping me from winning. though a 3rd potion might do the trick.

Have you been putting all your scrolls into only one stat? Whatever weapon you use, make sure you put every scroll you find into that weapon's corresponding stat. Having a high enough DPS is integral to success in Dead Cells.

I prioritize health more <_< so usually I'm within 1 or 2 of each stat (i.e. 7 - 9 - 8)

Yeah that's the problem. You could still probably win on the lowest difficulty doing that, but as you progress through the game more, going for health over damage will hinder you immensely.

What's gotten me farthest has been a mix of throwing knives and ice blast or bow and electric whip.

You might be surprised to learn that the Electric Whip is currently considered to be one of the best weapons in the game. Throwing Knives are up there as well, though I think that one really begins to shine once you upgrade your Legendary Forge a bit more and get a bit more experience with the game. Ice Blast is a generally solid support weapon.
