It was fun. The first day was great. The second day got rained out an hour before close. :(

I think the Jurassic Park section at Islands of Adventure is a strong argument for God having a sense of irony. Hammond quips in the movie that he should've built the park in Orlando. What do they do? They recreate the park in Orlando. Upon seeing the main gate, Malcolm quips, "What do they think they've got in there, King Kong?" You know what you find on the other side of the gate at the park? The King Kong ride. So, yes, a fairly new addition, but they actually do have King Kong in Jurassic Park.

That said, I'd maybe avoid going to major theme parks at this time. The rides are fun, and safety precautions are taken, but the wait times are pretty bad. I accomplished 20 rides in two days and I've been there before when I was able to hit 22 rides in one day. If you just can't handle being cooped up, again, they are taking precautions. Everybody wears a mask, everybody gets their temperature taken.

That's why we ponied up for the express pass when my now wife and I went there a few years ago. Covered all the rides in one day. The one for Disney/Magic Kingdom was crazy expensive, but the Universal one was doable.

I might try the express pass sometimes. It'd probably be in September or October (of next year or later) when they bring back Halloween Horror Nights.

The regular Universal Studios had a somewhat depressing Tribute shop featuring merchandise that would've gone to this years Halloween Horror Nights had it not been canceled. The shop itself was cool. It's just sad that we're not getting the haunted houses this year.

I thought da lines were fast nowadays

We went a little too early. This is summer's last hurrah. The lines are manageable on the weekdays, but the weekend is still packed.

Nobody pays attention to Universal. Also, Disney's kid-friendly imagine makes them an easy target.
