Both have awesome lore and models, and while Warhammer has better model variety, Warmachine still has an awesome aesthetic and far better gameplay that's faster, cheaper to play, and far less reliant on dice spam, letting your units feel in individually more effective.

Sadly, they failed to capitalize on any of that. They consistently raised prices, introduced epic units that are prohibitively expensive while not being as impressive as warhammer equivalents, and it's only attempt at having a game made was an absolute dumpster fire :(

Was this the prepainted models game?

Warhammer lore is infinitely better. The Black Library stuff basically keeps the guys playing the tabletop and or inspiring some very decent video games these days like Mechanicus.

Nope. It's unpainted, main difference from warhammer is it does more pewter than resin.
