Nope. They should create a system where names and race of people aren't shown until after they get chosen to go to a college. Only academics should matter. That is 100% fair.

yeah because all school districts get similar funding or equally good teachers and equally good preparation for standardized tests.

fuckboy over magaville can afford to take the summer off to study for the SAT, while a dude in the ghetto is working 3 jobs and wont even study for the SAT because of it.

super fair!

GPA and SAT scores. The other bull ass shit like what programs they've been in shouldn't matter. People have been rejected because colleges think they aren't social or some bull shit like that.

What should colleges do about the people with the highest SAT scores and high GPA then? Don't accept them? They don't have enough room to accept them all and people getting in with affirmative action. And it's not just privileged people from "magaville".

It allows the left to provide lip service that they are fighting racism when in reality they are actually discriminating against Asians.

sports scholarships is alright but probably not legacy students unless they are qualified but the people deciding who gets in might see the potential student's mommy and or daddy attended that college and let them in no matter what so fuck that.

https://www.insidehighered.com/admissions/article/2020/02/03/study-finds-grades-are-five-times-stronger-act-scores
Elaine M. Allensworth, who conducted the study with Kallie Clark, both of the University of Chicago. The bottom line is that high school grades are powerful tools for gauging students readiness for college, regardless of which high school a student attends, while ACT scores are not.GPAs measure a very wide variety of skills and behaviors that are needed for success in college, where students will encounter widely varying content and expectations, said Allensworth.

Student with a GPA under 1.5 had a 20% chance of graduating college, up to 80% for those with a GPA of 3.75 or higher, once student background and college characteristics were taken into account.
This held across all high schools in the study, which looked at the trajectories of more than 55,000 students from the Chicago public school district who went on to enrol in college.

However, I will note that this measured 1st year, where cheating is likely rampant with those Gen Ed. classes, and the ease of those classes compared to higher level degree classes.

I disagree. Having an AMP(ower) level of over 9000 is a good way to flex and it is also a good meme.

AA helps bridge the wealth and educational gap that centuries of racism helped build up.

In terms of holding back generic students that did well in school, legacy admits are a much much bigger issue, especially at the elite colleges.
