That's what people seem to be saying (although it's not like the year is even close to done, of course).

I admit, though, there haven't been many major releases this year. First party, only big release I can think of is Paper Mario: Origami King. There have been maybe a few major third-party releases, stuff like the Borderlands Collection, but not much. I suppose it has been pretty slow. Everything I've been playing this year is from previous years. BotW, Runner3, and so on. I don't even think the coronavirus can be fully blamed...not before late Spring.

Any opinions on this, from Switch owners, or people who have other consoles?

This year has generally been pretty lackluster for me gaming wise, and the Switch is no exception

I've played Animal Crossing and Rune Factory 4. I'd like to get Story of Seasons, and I'll get Pikmin 3. That's pretty much it

As far as other consoles go, I dont think I've bought a new game on any other console this year. My PS4 is still just a Bloodborne machine, and the PC is mostly for old RTS and rom hacks at this point

Outside of BotW and Odyssey there haven't been many worthwhile titles.

It has been rather slow, yeah. But one of this year's games has become their second most sold Switch game ever in the span of a few months, so I think they're fine with their performance \_()_/ (talking about Animal Crossing btw)

That's subjective. Especially since BotW is a multiplat

Smash was a big one.
