Actually they put up a dinky sign on Wednesday night so if you were already parked and didn't see it they just fucking towed you.

No call, no email, no letter in the mail.

This. I got towed last week because my building owner never bothered to give me a permit, or even let me know that permits were a thing here. I got my car back for free after a lot of complaining, but I still had to drive 20 minutes to go pick it up. Nonsense.

Had a coworker get towed for backing in a parking spot at a coworkers apartment because he was helping him move.

They had a dinky sign that said "No Back-in Parking" that you're likely not going to see at night and it mentioned nothing about towing.

You could probably write a strongly worded letter to the city and send them the bill for any lost labor.

You could also look up local ordnance about notices for city construction and what not. If you wanna do the leg work you might could profit from this

Thats enough cars that obviously they put up warning signs either too late or not obvious enough.

On Wednesday evening. And they towed thursday morning at like 10am.
