1. Inability of people to vote. Imagine, if you will, a swing state that doesn't allow mail ins. Now imagine election day. In populated areas, in person voting will need to be safely done, so less people will be able to at once, requiring appointments or some other such mechanism. Meanwhile, in less populated areas of that state, business as usual
Populated areas mostly vote blue, rural vote red. You do the math there.
2. Even if mail in voting is allowed, the Postmaster General is a huge Trump slurper who is currently trying everything in his power to weaken the infrastructure of the USPS to the point where it can't handle mail in votes.
3. American stupidity

Also keep in mind that the Democrats have done nothing to address their disenfranchisement of the working class in the past 4 years which won Trump the election in 2016 and in fact only dug their heels into supporting extreme leftist antics. Now especially, people will be voting for jobs, not for social issues.
