i've been in a few groups over the years and it's never really come up aside from a character here and there wanting to spend the night at a brothel. but i'm reading stories of DMs tryna have NPCs fuck the PCs, PCs tryna fuck other other PCs. ssoooo many dnd memes on reddit are about the "horny bard" (ive never heard of this??)

I actually started writing a campaign for the first time in a very long time, and it will probably be comprised of irl friends and online strangers. of course ground rules would be set and such, but i dont wanna run into any awkwardness. like im reading stories of parties basically pressuring the irl chicks into whoring themselves out in game and im like. bruh.

anyway, dnd is fun

i been playing on and off for ten years and just...no...

I've seen a couple jokes like

DM: You enter the tavern. The bar maid looks up and asks what you'll all be having?
Player: Is she hot? If she is then obviously I wink and say her

DM: Before you is a large dragon named <insert feminine name>
Player: Can I try to seduce the dragon for loot...?

But they were very obviously one-off jokes and in character the players were pretty normal. From what I've seen on the Reddit threads you're talking about it either seems like massive embellishment for upvotes, they're just playing with weirdos and likely had many red flags this was coming, or they're practicing their own erotica writing. Same with the TIFU subreddit and everyone going into detail about how they met some 11/10 chick and all the ways they banged just to end with some fuckup like "Yeah I fucked her so hard it made one of my towers go flat and I had to call AAA!!!"

I used to game with a group of really good friends & we had a long running campaign with a bunch of references to sex in it, but we never played out any sort of porn scenario-- everything would fade to black. We were mostly just being goofy with it, and we certainly never tried to hook up with any female players in the game.
