he fuckin otk's me almost every time. i understand a huge problem is that i dont really have any good cards yet cuz i'm only free-to-play'ing but still. only decks i can sometimes beat him with are janky ojamas or janky blue-eyes.

i gotta say tho, i love playing as Jaden with Elemental Heroes. those fusions are so fucking disgusting i got 3 super powerful boss monsters out in one turn before, felt like a god.

the cutscenes are super awesome too. my favorite one so far has gotta be Flame Wingman, that dude is fuckin stone cold.

but yeah, what are some tips for grinding out gems? or getting the singles i need? i heard Stratos is in the game but i didnt see him in any of the boxes. Stratos of course would help out my elemental heroes immensely

Just set the standard duelist encounters to x3 and auto-duel to grind exp for the level-up rewards gems.

I have a lot of success with Six Samurai.

give it to me straight doc - do i stand a chance if im only gonna use characters' theme decks will i ever stand a chance to vagabonds or online?

You can build successful decks around some characters' signature cards, definitely not everybody though.

Vagabond is easy once you have a solid deck, as the AI is predictable.

tratos is currently only in a selection box which are only in the store every once in a while, and will be released in a future box at some point, which right now you can't get him until those come back or they finally release him in a box.

Most Blue Eyes decks use DSOD Kaiba for the Alternate Evolution skill. That's a character deck off the top of my head.

I played the game nearly every day for 18 months, didn't spend a penny on it. You're not really meant to beat the vagabond till you've got a lot of time into the game and have some good decks.

god the vagabond is so fucking infuriating. i "get" that i'm not supposed to beat him but jesus it feels like such shit to get fucking wrecked a hundred times a day. absolutely destroyed

Oh man, if you think the Vag is difficult now, you should have seen him just a few months ago.

He had an additional "challenge" on top of the meta deck. Challenges for example, you start the duel with 1 card in your hand, you can't special summon, etc. Different challenges gave different exp (1 card starting hand gave the most, so you "want" that one but you'd barely ever win). I'd lose much more often than winning before, and now I pretty much always win.

I guess they realized how huge fucking bullshit he was.
