First off, amazing show. Cant wait for season 3.

-Why was Five tasked with killing JFK if real life events were to take place either way?
-Were those 3 silent brothers with the Commission? What was the point of sending them on a mission only for them to die?
-When Five met himself in Dallas, that version now has knowledge of season 1. He prevented the season 1 Apocalypse?
-why did JFK need to die? Was Reggie involved?
-when Five originally arrives, how were the others all together? The original reason why they were all together before they died was because of Fives influence. But he arrives last in his first trip.

I might have more questions later.

- I guess they sent him there to make sure it happened because they knew that Diego wanted to stop it
- Yeah, they were sent by the commission. I don't understand the second part of your question.
- Yes, he's probably the reason why the apocalypse was stopped
- Because it was always supposed to happen. Reginald was clearly not involved which is why he trolled Diego with the body double and was furious with that illuminati group for having him killed
-They must have found each other just like they did after Five arrived before the apocalypse

As back-up to ensure Kennedy died. It's also a take on the real world theory of a second shooter.

They were assassins sent to eliminate the UA. They didn't expect them to die.

Possibly. They never went into detail with him about what caused the 2019 apocalypse that I can recall, though. Also, that version of 2019 may no longer exist.

To maintain the timeline/history. Reginald didn't know they planned to kill JFK. That's why he was so pissed off about them lying to him.

They don't say but they may have met up after Russia invaded Texas.

They did tell old five that Vanya had powers and caused the apocalypse

Nothing related to the show exactly. It's implied they had him killed because he pissed off so many other people of power. Think of Obama pissing off Trump-county.

The show says he was just backup to make sure history played out.

I think that Old Five may have been completely erased from existence. I think he may have jumped into a timeline that was completely erased once the Kennedy Assassination played out differently. Once the Umbrella Academy made the news in 1963, Hargreeves must have changed his plans about recruiting those students and recruited The Sparrows instead. So Old Five got wiped from the timeline. (A side effect of recruiting The Sparrows is that there was never any Apocalypse to stop and the kids didn't drive Hargreeves to an early grave.)

The problem is the show doesn't play by it's own time travel rules. Five is convinced he'll blink out of existence if his other self changes history. But that clearly doesn't happen when The Sparrow timeline takes over.

Well, Five doesn't know everything about time travel. It's possible/plausible he was wrong.

The show plays kinda loose with exactly how time travel works and events are supposed to happen.

Like to me it almost seems like the show's concept of the passage of time is that only certain (major) events have to happen, but how they get there doesn't matter as much as long as that specific event happens.

Also I'm glad they didn't just reveal all the members of the Sparrow Academy at the end. Actually makes me think they'll use it to introduce another 6 of the "special" kids.

Also Lila better come back, but I wonder if one of the subplots will be her fucking things up trying to prevent The Handler from killing her parents.

Hazel and Cha Cha were way better than The Swedes
