Because I generally support libertarianism as it relates to the everyday citizen, but I am absolutely NOT on board with giving complete freedom to corporations and billionaires, along with removing protections for minorities and the environment etc etc. Fuck. That.

Idk her stance on that and I am unsure if she offered an alternative, so I dont want to come off as defending her, but public education is garbage in the US getting rid of it for something else? Im unsure, but it definitely could be better.

I think focusing on Freedom and having options is pretty American. Sure Americans arent wearing or doing the necessary things prevent the spread of covid, but also having the choice to deny them services is a thing too.

I did, she wants to transfer education to the states. Not a bad idea. Everything the government touches is garbage. Healthcare, education etc. Is it foreign and scary? Sure. Is it the way I would handle it? Probably not. But I don't vote for and focus on just one issue.

I cant speak on everyone in the US, but CA offers coverage for the unemployed/noninsured (which I am on) which is actually cheaper and offers the same benefits that my job offers. I shit on california a lot, but that's done right in a sense.

I'd never heard of her, so I looked her up. She wants to support unemployed people during the pandemic even less than the republicans do. That goes directly against my interests. That's the biggest strike against her personally, but that's on top of a variety of other issues, like her generally wanting to slash government to nothing, and her being a third party candidate in an election where the incumbent president is fascist.

That's pretty much where I am. Do I honestly believe she has the resume to be President? No I don't, but neither did Trump and then Biden is telling people to vote based on their skin color and rubbing up on people and then folks make excuses for him. We got 2 old racist/sexist dudes running for president that have both done the same things and both are pointing fingers at each other for. Its honestly ridiculous.

First of all, I think her platform is worse than Biden's and I know she'd have a worse cabinet than him as well.

Second, I would never vote for a candidate that has literally no chance of winning the election just because I don't particularly like the other options.

The last thing we need is another capitalist party.

This topic proves how aggressively uninformed and unrealistic libertarianism is. Theyre basically Republicans with less self-awareness.
