Because he's a Trumper who will support whatever he says. Well either that or he is a pretend Trumper who is using a pandemic and 150,000 deaths to troll.

My friend is a teacher and they are opening his school for students to go to, but the classes will still be virtual. Students can "attend" their classes on laptops. Teachers will be in the classrooms basically as babysitters, since all the kids will just be watching their classes on the computers (and it doesn't even matter which room you sit in, since everybody's doing their own thing)

They are basically opening the school to treat it as a place for parents to drop their kids off during the day. There's no benefit in taking your kid to the school since they get the same education they'd get on the computer at home--except at school.

I'm more concerned for the millions of kids as of now.

It's really an essential service for them not only for their academics, but also for their social-emotional health, also for safety, nutrition, so many other things that they get through the school system. And so it's critical for us to find a way to support and get kids back.

Schools are often a place that kids not only get other eyes on them and diagnoses and reports of child abuse, but also some other adults that recognize those mental health problems. And many children get mental health therapy right in schools well.

We know that Black, brown and low-income children are most harmed by school closures. And we know this at the same time that it's those very communities that are most hurt by the coronavirus.

Of course each area needs to monitor and make their own shots.
