The Mexican part is debatable because we have people here from everywhere from South America. Though I do think Mexican is more popular as a meal --- If you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all. As an icebreaker, they asked everyone what their favorite food was. I kid you not, like 95% of them said that their favorite food was Mexican food. When I think Mexican food, I don't think of one specific dish, so I don't see how it's any different than fish. Unless you've tried every single Mexican dish out there and love it above all other food, it's unreasonable to assume that liking Mexican food means you like all Mexican food. It usually means you like Mexican dishes more often than you like other dishes. Same with fish. I like dishes made with fish more than other types of food, regardless of "culture". Personally, I don't really see a difference in the comparisons, but based on this topic it seems other people do, so I guess I understand the reactions. Also, I wouldn't find it weird if someone told me their favorite food was beef. It just means they like the taste of beef. <_< --- Congratulations!
