They don't have those people there to occasionally stop people and check the receipts. They are too busy sanitizing carts so you could just pretend to forget to scan some cat food or toilet paper and walk out.

They went back to checking receipts at my store. They just have the cart guy spray the cart handles with sanitizer as he brings them in.

Their self checkout station is so stupidly insecure that I bet you could just bag half the shit without scanning it and walk out without question. At least places like Kroger, the bagging area is a scale and each item is identified by weight so if you bag something without scanning it, it recognizes it got heavier.

Walmart's self checkout used to weigh the bag as well. It would yell about unexpected items if you threw something in too quick after scanning it.
