Took like a nice year break from composing but recently been getting into it more and more

Here's a kind of...tool-esque, maybe dream theater inspired proggy type of thing...

Nice! Sounds good. I would recommend leveling out those drums though, they drowned out the guitar a lot of the time. What program are you using?

Thanks!

Good advice...I made it a bit too bombastic haha. I get lazy with post and really need to learn to level things right. Once the creative part is out of my system, I'm drained and don't wanna deal with details, but they do make the difference.

Believe it or not, that was done on Guitar Pro (all of the songs on my channel were). For $60 or whatever I paid, it's done me well.

I read and write sheet music way too slow, but I can read and write tabs ridiculously fast at this point (I can basically "sight read" tabs though w/o rhythm I'd need to know the song first) and this allows me to tab out melodies and harmonies, then "copy and paste" over to a horn, or a tuba or whatever I want.

Maybe I'll do a solo piano tune next...

Here's an old one I did with only piano. Kinda nice and relaxing

Wish I had the chops to do a killer piano intro that goes into some hard slow ballad thing but it just sounds cheesy and derivative when I try
