Now yes, the federal stimulus addition to unemployment has made it very attractive for people - that was the point of it. Like I said some states have looser requirements, I think in Pennsylvania its 18 weeks? But the benefit you qualify for is based on your earnings from the past several quarters so if you werent working you wont have enough earnings to qualify for benefits. Also normally can only qualify for 26 weeks of unemployment benefits per year anyways, at most, depending on which state you live in.
