Do Americans really believe that all countries got the same laws as them?

Where I live I was at college at 17 and I was legally allowed into bar at 18. I also think this is the case in most of the world. Why is it higher for U.S.A?

I have seen quite a few referring to 19 years old canadians as "not legally able to drink" this is just not true.

But anyway why is it 21 in U.S.A?

No. Americans dont think everyone has the same laws. But we are used to it. We know our drinking laws are the highest age around, but its not hard to get alcohol underage if you want it, you can get it from virtually any grocery or corner store in nearly all states and stores sell it until 2am, so thats not so bad.

If youre in a college dorm, as long as its not a religious university, its accepted practice that freshmen (so, 18 year olds) can drink.

When I was in college, on Friday and Saturday night, you couldnt walk outside your room without running into a flip cup table littered with Key Stone and Natty Light.
