Like certain hospitals are overloaded. Plus the risk of someone dying has increased.

Wait until the pandemic is dealt with then try to get her pregnant.

Not to mention loved ones can't come over to see the new born baby even 9 months from now especially if you live in a red zone where numbers are climbing like America.

What is a biological clock, Alex? Also, as someone mentioned above, tomorrow is not guaranteed. Trying to act morally righteous on an issue such as this comes off as an overreach of your power to limit freedom. The virus is real; the threat is real. It's not your right to decide when a couple wants to take the risk of having a child (which is always a risk regardless of COVID)

Plus like I said you bring the baby home after. Are you gonna isolate the baby or let certain family members see the baby? Is everyone being tested before seeing the baby? There are so many factors.

Dude. Unsubscribe to the New York Times. Turn off CNN. You're in full fledged fear mode. Some of us aren't going to live like that and you're gonna have to accept it. We obviously will limit going out in public as much as we can and wear a mask and keep our distance, but now you're taking some moral high ground on child birth? This is none of your damn business what two private citizens decide in their own home.

Who cares about the family? They'll have to wait several months before seeing the baby. Join the club. My parents have been unable to see their grandkids for quite some time now.

A friend of mine actually had a baby in May.

They could have no visitors. Only the mom and dad were allowed.

Part of what you're seeing is probably the result of the early meme of "oh Rona babies" because people assumed it'd be over by the time a baby was able to be made

Personally, I'm fine with abortion up until a certain point. It's utterly disgusting to abort a baby that is well into 7 months plus. I'd give early abortions a "3 strikes and you're out" rule. It should be a last resort. It shouldn't be happening all the damn time. If it happens to a single person more than three times, very likely, they're completely irresponsible. Obviously cases of rape and incest are exempt from this rule as well as any time a mother's life is in danger or if they find out the baby has some severe medical issue and the parents choose an option to abort.

That's my opinion of how I would handle it.

The fact is there's a global pandemic. Now is not the time to have kids. People don't like to hear it but you can't ignore what's going on in the world. Americans in particular are unwilling to adjust their life due to external circumstances even though it makes it worse for everyone.
