2d action platformer

Great NES-Robotech inspired style, solid tracks that match the game's pace, variety within deceptively simple mechanics, challenging without requiring that heavy skill/time dedication, good mix of platforming and combat, and little secrets abound. I've only played through two levels, but it's a damn solid title.

For those afraid of difficulty, fear not: The levels are quite clearly inspired by old school Megaman and Ninja Gaiden and such, but a notch down in difficulty.

Note: You will definitely want to play with a pad. The controls are intuitive, you won't struggle with platforming, but there are enough separate functions assigned to enough buttons that I couldn't find a "natural" fitting layout for keyboard.
