One queen bed for two people seems so tight. I'm thinking of buying another queen bed and building a custom frame to have two queens right next to each other, so that we each have "our own bed". Or should we just get 1 king bed?

I mean when we want to cuddle and stuff, we can just use "one bed", then when we sleep, we just separate again.

I think a King is only a foot wider than a queen, I could be wrong. Unless your room is huge, two queens together is gonna take up a lot of room.

But you can never cuddle and fall asleep at the same time without the gap annoying you.

When you don't want to cuddle, simply move to the other side of the bed where there is plenty of room. "our own bed" will just turn to "our own side of this very large bed"
