Upper and middle class wages are increasing but lower class wages are not. Because of this inflation will continue to rise but people in a lower economic class will not be able to keep up and whenever they try to get higher wages they are told "we can't do that. It would cause inflation!"

Perhaps if the lower classes had a limit to how poor they can be then this wouldn't be a problem!

That's what I don't get about homeless people... prisons are free everything, the epitome of the communist ideal. Just go to prison! You even get free health care.

It's called balance, when someone rich can hire people to raise their children for them, there's a poor family not able to make ends meet and can only eats scraps for dinner (or something barely resembling a meal for the children if the parents choose to forgo food).

So the obvious solution is for everyone to be in prison to fix everything.

I dont think we should focus on income inequality but on raising standard of living at the low end. More people in the lowest class but still having a great life.

I can't speak for everyone, but as a former homeless person the idea of being forced around people I don't know and away from my spouse with all personal freedoms stripped didn't really appeal to me. It wasn't a cakewalk, but hanging out at the public library all the hours it was open certainly helped.

Plus was having to find ways to provide for the 3 cats my mom left behind, since shelters literally won't take cats and cats don't get adopted. I was giving them like half my food from the local soup kitchen type place for the longest time just to make sure they were able to eat

I'm not judging anyone who does, it's technically kinda smart. But I would have ended up more suicidal than I already was at points personally.

I've definitely heard of people that aren't even homeless doing it for the free health care.

Yes, we need less poor people like we need less rich people.

That's actually not true. The Department of Labor have stated that it's a myth. You really need to stop drinking the corporate kool-aid.

That isn't true. You could stand to do more reading on the US prison system.
https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2020/jan/13/us-states-move-to-stop-prisons-charging-inmates-for-reading-and-video-calls
https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/research-reports/paying-your-time-how-charging-inmates-fees-behind-bars-may-violate
https://www.prisonlegalnews.org/news/2018/nov/6/fighting-fees-force-prisoners-pay-their-incarceration/

They are paid pennies for their forced labor and charged dollars for necessities, leaving most prisoners in debt and forcing them to remain in the prison system or return because they've become even more poverty-stricken.
