Here's the story

I took my car to tire shop A to get a slow leak fixed. They said okay. I get the car back, but then 3 days later my tire pressure light comes on again. The tire is still leaking.

So I take my car to tire shop B. They inspect the tire and say that tire shop A did a bad job, and not only didn't repair the tire, but rendered it completely unrepairable.

To replace the tire will cost at least $150, and since there's only about 6 months left on the tread, I would want to replace them all. But I don't want to sped over $600 right now because I already have too many surprise expenses.

What will tire shop A be able to do for me if I call them and tell them about the work they did? 50% off new tires? Maybe one free one? I don't know.

Depends on their labor guarantee, and whether they attempted a proper patch or a not-very-legal plug. It's entirely possible that it was a tricky repair to begin with depending on the size of the puncture and where on the tire it was located. (Middle of tread? No problem. On the shoulder? Risky. Sidewall? Get a lawyer lol)

Should I just keep putting air in the tire?

If you only need to get through the next 6 months I'd just buy a can of fix-a-flat... if it would work for your problem.

If it keeps the tire inflated enough to drive on, that's fine. Swapping it for the spare would be better though. Again, it depends on the condition of the tire and what the damage was. There's a lot of reasons air can leak out.

Well if a tire shops says they can't repair it...wouldnt that mean fix a flat wouldn't work either? I don't know much about tires.

I lost 20 psi in 9 days. Tires are supposed to be at 42 psi. That's how slow the leak is.

Fix-a-flat/Slime should always be your last resort. It also isn't guaranteed to fix the leak, but it is guaranteed to make an unholy mess and really piss off the next technician to work on that wheel lol

Don't stand too close when it happens though, otherwise you'll get a breaker bar thrown your way

Why would you take it to place B when place A fucked up? You should have taken it back to place A and told them to do better.

if place A is listed on BBB website. put in a 1* review with the complaint.
there's one other site but that's for dining ><.

i had to report a business when they wouldn't refund 200$ on a deposit despite returning most of the materials minus the cap for the usb device.

short answer: the internet didn't work where i lived with mobile. good thing i didn't stay with em 5 Gig's of data isn't enough.

Because place A fucked up, therefore I don't want them working on my car anymore unless they want to give me free tires.

Fair, but other shops will not warranty or even want to touch their work. If you're trying to get them to fix it, you're either going to have to press Shop A to fix their screw up, or bite the bullet and pay to have the work done properly elsewhere.
