We can all agree that the part they had the novels as a foundation for, was executed really well. The moment they were on their own it became lazy, badly executed, and just overall BS.

I think most of the GOT S8 hate is on the Internet, most more casual viewers probably enjoyed it. I mean I imagine writers/producers think of Internet hate as a given and go entirely off of ratings and DVD sales to gauge success.
