Lions eat their neighbors and probably their children too and when lions die, their body is absorbed into the earth and turned into that grass, which the herbivores eat. As for why anyone would agree to this, it's probably because hyenas have no self control and want to eat more than is sustainable. So lion monarchs are a neccesary evil. --- Hello, I lack empathy. Also, he explains that kings need to not only understand the Circle of Life, but also respect all life within it. This means no senseless killing. Prey animals respect a predator's need to eat and desire to survive, and in that way, don't have a problem being eaten.
