Pretty sure most retail jobs arent gonna hire as many people as they used to pre-covid. I can also see bus drivers being out of work permanently.

Bus ridership is down big time since the shutdown happened. Our citys buses are operating at a loss right now.

Its even worse for the companies of other bus and shuttle companies who used to transport Facebook or Google employees to the offices from their homes

Strip clubs. Stripping definitely won't go away as a profession, but I doubt they will open back up by years end, and how many of them have the cash to stay afloat for years.

Yeah, the one in my town has been closed for months and I honestly don't expect it to come back anytime soon, if at all.

It sucks, as I hear it pays SUPER well for men AND women. At least from the few strippers I've heard about it from.

Granted, most of it is from tips but that's how Uber or Lyft or Doordash operate so lol.

Really? How odd. Maybe Cali has a better handle on it than I thought, but the strip club here and every gym I noticed has been entirely closed off since quarantine.

Even places around here like hotels and restaurants haven't bought it back. They don't want their employees to touch people's dirty vehicles.

Movie theaters because home streaming is cheaper and more convenient, not to mention the fact that youre not in a room with a bunch of strangers who might be sick. You can pay about $7-10 to stream something thats in theaters, which is probably cheaper than one ticket.

One factor that really makes a difference is the cost of living in the city. If its high, then every small business with storefront is paying an unbelievable amount of money for rent, so one month of being shut down was enough to close some businesses. The obvious answer is caps on rent prices, but theres pretty much no oversight if a landlord or insurance company wants to hike up their prices.

Only if you do it in groups. 20 bucks isn't cheap for a glorified rental at all.

what industries went away after the spanish flu?

yes this is big but eventually it will be another virus that most humans have resistance to that comes with a yearly vaccine, whether thats a year, 3 years, whatever

when that time comes, people will still want to see titties, theyll still need to get places

The issue is in order for there to be work, there needs to be demand for said work

and COVID potentially changed a lot of this forever

I'm just going to say it, liberals are what's wrong with America, these folks are pushing for things like mandatory vaccinations and quarantines for those traveling. These kinds of consequences for moving around destroy faith in the system, plenty of folks are tired of this crap virus that kills less than 1% of people it infects and half the folks who get it don't even get any symptoms. This has been enormously blown out of proportion by the left, and then the left had massive protests right before reopening too, so they sabotaged themselves, it's blatant venom towards trump because he's raw about things and these guys cannot handle a strong figure in office. This all seems like some kind of conspiracy against the trump administration and the disclosing of a lot of stuff people would rather pretend doesn't exist in this country, like the elite pedophile ring, rampant sex and child trafficking and disgusting things like adrenochrome harvesting plus more. Seriously, wake the heck up guys.
