I've been trying to make twitter and Instagram accounts, and immediately after doing so they lock me out and demand I verify the account with a phone number. Yeah. Like I'm going to hand over my phone number to Big Tech companies. Screw that idea!

I thought it may have had something to do with the email provider, so I tried making an email on Outlook. And the same thing happened-they wanted a phone number! No way, Jose!

Those sites that let you use sms phone numbers never work!

I'm sorry but this is a heinous invasion of privacy! You can't do this to people!
