Current Events > Anybody here have knowledge on Audio interfaces and newer Macs?

My Mac from 2010 finally died. I was using a Focusrite sapphire pro 24 as the audio interface. I record people on a budget here in New York for extra cash. So with the old MacBook pro I was using a FireWire for connection. I am not really a fan of Macs but all the music files are on logic pro so I bought a cheap 12 inch MacBook pro from 2017. It has one port wire. A USB c connector. So I bought all the adapters I'd need to hook up my interface and it doesn't work. It seems the software didn't update enough to work with these adapters.

So if anybody would know I need to know a quality interface that will work with this USB c connector or at least work with adapters. I've been looking at the Scarlett 2nd gen 6i6 but I'm like completely afraid to buy any new shit without knowing for sure. And all these sites forums seem to be not helping. So I figure I'd take a shot here.
