Why were butchers treated like dirt? Like, everyone needs and eats meat. So you'd think the people responsible for providing this incredibly important resource would be given a little bit of respect from the higher classes buying from them. At the time, I thought it was a bizarre quirk of a much older, less-sophisticated society.

...and then it hit me. lol.

Civilization was a mistake >_>
