I was 29 when my first Grandparent passed away. My other Grandfather is 92 now.

Five. My sisters have all sorts of stories about him and me but I don't remember any of it. He was a big animal lover. Down at the cabin he always had a coterie of squirrels, chipmunks, and birds eating from his hand. My sisters were scared to go out onto the patio but I never was apparently.

Both of my grandfather's died when I was around 5-6. Kind of weird how they both passed around the same time frame now that I think about it. They were in their late 40s - early 50s. I just made myself sad. :/

I had three. My father's dad, my mom's dad, and my grandma on my mom's side second husband, who was the only one I actually considered my "grandpa" (never met my father's dad b/c my parents got divorced when I was 6 months old and they lived halfway across the country, then my mom and her dad didn't have the best relationship; though he was around, we weren't very close).

My mom's dad died when I was...19, I believe. My grandpa died when I was 28, and my father's dad somewhere in between IIRC.

One grandpa died when I was 3, the other one died the day before my 10th birthday. And then my grandma died on my birthday a few years later, so that's just awful.

Rough few years there. I'm a bit bitter about the circumstances that led to my grandpa's death. After he passed my dad's side of family kind of... became a little distant (not because of any emotional baggage, it's just a side of the family full of people who just mind their own business). We had no uniting force anymore.

This makes me sad. Seems like most people's grandparents here die by the time they are in their early to mid 20s. I'm guessing the common age is mid 70s to early 80s, which is the the most common life expectancy? I guess its not too bad. But I can see why parents want their kids to have kids soon in their mid 20s.

Both of my grandfathers died before I was even born. When I was born, I only had one grandparent left, and she passed away when I was like 18.

My dad got diagnosed with brain cancer two months ago, and its sad to see that my niece will barely be a year old when he is expected to pass away. Dunno how long my mom will last as she is diabetic. Maybe 10-20 more years. She can't live alone by herself.

Can ya'll do me a favor? When you have kids, can you promise not to take your health for granted and live longer than your parents did.. at least live long enough to see your grandkids to 25-30. Though since people these days are having kids later, not expecting most of our generation to live in the 90s, but who knows...

Promise me that guys. I hope you remember this message, 5, 10, 20, 60 years from now.

sucks since he's really nice to me and my other grandpa barely exist in my life. I remember I cried when I got the news at school.
as for the other one, I don't remember when he died. I can't even remember if he died before or after I graduated HS.
