I've never had to do so. Only owned one car.

However, most of the time in my family, when somebody gets a new car they usually sell it for cheap or give it away to a family member who needs a car.

Or they just keep it lol

You can find out what its worth online by punching in the make, model, year and miles on the car. Then just decide if the offers are good enough for you. I sold a 2004 Honda Accord for 3000. And I was happy with that. I think was worth about 3,500 at the time.
