a couple reasons come to mind
Obama ran on change you can believe in, capitalizing on americans desire for a break from the corrupt politics that have been dominating for generations, but really he just ended up upholding the status quo. Yea I voted for Obama because he ran on a platform of change, which he never really delivered. He got me hyped up wed see real change in politics.

Obama's entire gimmick was change, which seems to be what the majority of the country desires for the most part. And Trumps campaign was essentially the same when you think about it. He also lucked how against likely the worst candidate of all time so he had that going for him.

Not enough Americans cared about politics between 208-2016. After seeing how far down America went during this time, enough Americans got together and voted in Trump.

I don't know the stats or numbers, but wasn't voter turnout a lot lower in the past election? So many people that went out and voted for Obama, simply didn't vote last time.
Be curious to see if we have a higher turnout this year. Some articles I've read seem to believe there will a higher turnout of black voters again this year. Which I would guess would benefit Biden. --- this is the way the world works, if you wanna find some quality friends, you gotta wade through all the dicks first... ... Copied to Clipboard!
