Toast, Virginia voted blue in 2016. Obama wasn't the exception, he was the tipping point. I don't know how Virginia will vote come November honestly, it's basically the northern area near DC and some major cities like Richmond and Charlottesville versus die hard Republican-no-matter-what voters. We did flip the state legislature blue though, so that's a good sign.

Ah, American politics. Used to be bad, now it's "Trump versus Biden/BLM/NASCAR/riots" bad. Some of the vitriol I hear at work is ridiculous, to the point where I just tune it out.

Yeah, voting against trump is a strong point in favor. I'm more interested in what they do in 2024 but I probably should have considered their recent swing more strongly. Either way I don't see it changing the point in any meaningful way. Biden still performed worse across the blue and purple states. Did best in red states. Then pulled away after warren stepped out and Bernie slowed and eventually stopped his campaign.

The most adorable thing about all this is Bernie Bros having a melty when Bernie has been asked to drop out to promote unity while screaming at Warren for "splitting" the progressive vote by not dropping out before Super Tuesday to unify behind Bernie. And then it's saying that Biden has to earn their votes while assuming that Warren's support would've automatically gone to Bernie. Do you think they realize how much of a meme they are?
