Like if you think you are being discriminated against because of your appearance, why would you support fascism? Feminists are the ones fighting against the patriarchal standards of beauty.

If you have social anxiety or depression, why would you support capitalism? Socialists are the ones fighting to make healthcare a human right so you can get medication or see a therapist.

Fascism is about the survival of the fittest, social Darwinism if you would. Hitler would literally try to weed these people out of society. Progressives are the ones trying to make the world a more accepting place with more resources. It just makes no sense to me why these people are right wing >_>

As far as I can tell, incels (whom identify with incel culture) are often struggling with mental and physical health issues. To be sure, it seems like self-loathing is at the core of their pain. They feel they've been written off and have no healthy way of solving their problems, so this community is their only outlet for their frustrations. Part of the culture is changing one's appearance, or fantasizing about it, and the idea is that with some changes one would be able to get laid, have a girlfriend, etc.

The analysis is usually inaccurate, of course, and exacerbating matters is that the culture is actually toxic. I say that because most of them engage in despair rather than using a problem-solving approach. The feeling is that actual progress is unobtainable, unclear, ineffective, or unbearable. They are unable to integrate and are unable to process the contradictions of contemporary life and basically are lost.

These guys are often in a place where they have no outlet other than the message boards they frequent. The hatred for themselves may be matched by hatred for others in a few of them.

The predicament of incel culture is that if one acted in a healthy, productive way and made the sacrifices to escape their own poisoned thinking, they would

1) Have to do it on their own because the culture discourages this, and

2) No longer be an incel after some period of time and thus no longer need to be associated with this toxic and misunderstood culture

Some will find outlets that allow them to keep their views, such as PUA culture. Some will move toward some sense of healthy improvement and some will hold on to their worst aspects and some will radicalize.

And to answer TC more directly, those who believe in looks-maxing and the like live in a fantasy where they are perfect and others are lesser to them. It's the sort of egotism that would thrive under fascism so that part is no wonder to me.
