that whole game was awful, but I remember being amazed by the 'bullet time' gimmick (its mechanics were horrible too)

Those just turned into find the shortcut jumping puzzles for me with awkward controls.

Im playing through it for the first time and Im enjoying the shooting sections. But everything about these maze parts is a turn off.
