That might count if it wasn't for the struggle over the gun. Not saying he was wrong to struggle or that what happened to him wasn't fucked up but it wasn't a lynching/execution.

This is putting the onus on him though. What you are saying means that because of the struggle over the gun, it resulted in his death.

But I'd rather put the onus on his death over the vehicles chasing a man down fully armed using racial slurs.

If the KKK stalk and capture a black man and in the midst of him defending himself, he dies, it's still a lynching. A lynching isn't predicated on a victim's self-defense or lack thereof.

Going purely by definition, a lynching needs for death to be premeditated. The people doing the lynching will have to know that the person they are doing it to will die and it is their intention for them to die before any actions begin.

Yes....just like with any murder case. That's how the law works.

Now to reiterate:

They were chasing down a man on foot in cars.
They were fully armed.
They were using racial slurs.

Furthermore, their "defense" from their lawyers is convoluted, false, and laughable.

So with all of those facts at my disposal, I'm not going to be like "Well maybe they didn't intend for him to die" when everything they have shown me thus far points to "Yeah this was totally a lynching".

I'm not putting the blame on him at all. I'm just stating what a lynching/execution is. There is zero evidence stating that they went there to kill him. Everything makes it seem like they were some idiot wannabe cops that were trying to arrest him and shit got way out of control resulting in murder. They are at fault for the murder but it wasn't a lynching.

Not all murder charges mean premeditated. I'm not disputing the charges against them by any means, but once again, I'm strictly going by the definition of a lynching. It absolutely has to be premeditated with the full intention of killing someone.

Though their actions made a death conducive, it does not mean they set out to kill that person and that it was their absolute intention to kill him.

But I also think this topic shouldn't be any further derailed from the main point. A grown black man assaulted a 12 year old white boy and there was no national media coverage of it, and certainly no coverage was displayed if a grown white man assaulted a 12 year old black boy.
